Organic products

Essential oils can be used for various things such as acne control and hair growth.I’ve used all these three oils lavender, lemon and grapefruit and I fell in love with them immediately. A little definitely goes a long way with these and they can last even up to six months depending on how often you use them.#organic products.I would definately recommend them.

Chinese Skin Care;March favourite

Beauty blog

Hey loves,

I have a new favourite product from the month of march. I incorporated it into my skin care routine in January. It is the green tea pox-clear lotion by Dr.plant and its good for acne prone skin because of the green tea which has many benefits, also Dr plant is specialized in plant based skin care which I think is amazing, its less chemical based and very few people will react to such products. It is a Chinese based product and as you know the Chinese, they like to make their products as clean as possible. What I love the most about this lotion is that it contains green tea.

It is has a watery consistency and a clean fresh scent. I personally use it as a moisturizer twice a day,i have been using it for 3 months now and boy  am I glad to say I am impressed with the…

The doctors’ secret:on acne

IMG_20180318_085402_509.jpgHello loves, so while I’ve been away I stumbled upon one of my favourite life style books which I received from my proactive skin care step by step routine and I decided that I should share it with you.

Most skin care brands rarely have an acne guide that can help people deal with acne from actual dermatologists. So with this book,a lot of your acne questions can be answered. The title is called The doctors’ secrets to a lifetime of clear skin by Drs. Rodan and Fields.

What I love the most about this book is that its really short and interesting to read with 67 pages and 30 topics, how amazing can it get. I highly recommend this book.

Product review:tea tree skin clearing facial wash

Beauty blog

Hey loves, happy new year, happy 2018. So today’s product review is the tea tree skin clearing facial wash from the body shop.

I have been using it for about a month roughly and boy do I love it. It is suitable for blemished skin  and acne prone skin. It contains tea tree oils from the foothills of Mount Kenya.

Tea tree has been found to be beneficial to acne,it acts as a bacterial disinfectant. Prior to using this face wash I used tea tree essential oil on its own,so when I saw this face wash I just knew I had to get it.

I personally use it twice a day,in the morning and evening. It has a very watery consistency and it does smell of tea tree oil. It does not really form lather on your face when you mix it with water. And it has a cooling sensation once you…

After using product for one year,is it worth the hype?

Hello loves, its been a minute but I’m back again with a new product for my brothers and sisters with acne prone skin. Now I have been trying this product for a year now, yes you read it right, one year.

It is not only used for acne but burns as well as allergies and itchy skin. Its not harsh at all,and in my opinion, it can even be used for younger children.

I have used it to treat burns and insect bites mostly ,but for acne I did not like it at all,its not worth the hype for acne.I did not feel it was effective for my skin which is not surprising because its a 50/50 thing with products it may or may not work. But overall I like it for treating burns and insect bites and allergies.

So it claims to get all its ingredients from the earth. It contains as it main ingredients tea tree oil and if you know me,you know how much I love tea tree. It also contains cinnamon oil, eucalyptus oil and cardamom oil which all have beneficial effects on the skin, for more information go to Organic products

Also it can be purchased from any chemist or drug store.

My 2 Favourite lippies

Hello loves, I’m back again with another blog and this time its on my favourite lip products.

IMG_20180202_141841

Often times most people do not care about what they put on their lips and some people do not even put anything at all on their lips and much as I hate to admit,I’ve been one of those fellas. To me all lip products seemed the same so there was no big deal.

So I purchased these products from edgars and I was so privileged to find them on sale, the brand is design which is a very good brand that enables people to get very good products at affordable prices.

I purchased them in the flavour fun fruit which is the light pink one and bronze which is the darker one and is more of a lip tint than a lip gloss as compared to the other one. They smell really amazing and guys if I could insert how good something smells I would do it right now. They feel amazing on the lips, they do not leave a sticky feel on the lips as other products would. I really really love them.

Skin update:allergic reaction and remedies

Hello loves,

I’m back again with another blog. So for the past month,I have been LOVING my skin until about two days ago when I purchased a new brand of a clinical gel prescribed to me by my dermatologist.

I carried out my usual facial routine and applied the gel and I felt an immediate burn and itch all over my face. At that moment I knew it was an allergic reaction so I rinsed off my face with cold water. The tingling sensation kind of reduced but I could still feel it  and I just left my face like that for the rest of the night without applying anything, scared that things would be worse off.

Fast forward to the next morning, I noticed my skin was very dry and scaly,so I decided to use a mild face wash and hydrating mask by cell tone(I will do a separate review) and my skin felt somewhat better off and then I topped it off with Johnson baby cream as a moisturizer as well as nivea crème for under my eyes as they were the most affected areas. I did the same before bed and when I woke up today my skin was much better, except that the dry skin was now pealing and to remove the excess skin I applied Vaseline and used a cotton wool to dash around my face and I managed to get most of it.

Lessons learnt?

1. Its possible to react to prescribed medication.

2. Always use your usual brand and know its contents

3. Before trying out a product dab a small amount of it on your wrist.

4. The moment you feel a burn or itch or tingle or rash building up on your face after using a new product rinse off immediately with cold water and seek help

5. Always use mild products after an allergic reaction.

6. If it leaves your skin dry, moisturizer is KEY.

New product: Crocodile healing balm

Hello loves

Today’s new product is crocodile healing balm and mine is by the brand umoyo which is a health store and can be accessed online from http://www.umoyo.com. As you know I like to incorporate as much organic products as I can into my routine from what I eat to what I put on my body.

I’ve heard a lot of reviews about croc oil mainly about its multi purpose beneficial effects . This particular croc balm contains crocodile oil as its main ingredient as well as Shea butter, jojoba oil, beeswax, calendula and selected essential oils.

So before I purchased this product,I did my own research as per usual on croc oil and its effects on acne as well as on the body and it has proven to be a miracle worker for certain people not to say that it will work for everyone.

Benefits include effective healing & soothing, nourishing & moisturizing, cell rejuvenating/anti-aging,plumps skin, making it softer and brighter, powerful antioxidant.

So I love that it does contain mostly clean ingredients but I wouldn’t recommend it for acne use if you have oily skin because its quite a heavy oily product to use and it being a balm it obviously has a greasy feel. On another note I think it would work for someone with dry skin or combination skin. I also think it is a good moisturizer again for people with dry skin. So I would recommend it for people with dry skin or even for use during the winter.

The best rice cakes

Hey loves.

For so long, I have been inquisitive about rice cakes, but each time I came close to buying them I always put out the idea because they seem very plain, but I was wrong.

Rice cakes are one of the best snacks ever and they are healthy too. I got mine from http://www.umoyo.com which is a natural health store. Before you buy them I recommend that you read the ingredients.

The ones I have eaten contain some cashew nuts and coconut shreds so if you’re allergic I wouldn’t advise you to get them but if you’re not  I would advise you to get them, they are beyond what I expected them to be.

Hey loves, happy new year, happy 2018. So today’s product review is the tea tree skin clearing facial wash from the body shop.

Your face feels totally cleansed after using it and soft. It is not harsh such that it leaves your skin feeling dry like some face washes do.

The only thing I do not like which is a caution for people using it the first time is that it stings the first time you use it but its something anyone can handle and I thinks that’s just the skin trying to adjust to the product so do not be quick to throw it in the trash.

Nevertheless this is a holygrail product I love it and I would totally recommend it.

Thank you for reading.

Bye loves. XoXo.
